The Official 8 Continents Marathon, Half-Marathon & Ultra Club^TM,  Eight Continents Club^TM & The 8 Continents Marathon Club^TMwere formed on February 17, 2017 in response to the news scientists announced about the discovery of a new 8th Continent -- Zealandia.  As a result the Official 7 Continents Marathon, Half-Marathon & Ultra Club has been changed to be The Official 8 Continents Marathon, Half-Marathon & Ultra Club.  In addition, we will have two new organizations to which we also own the trademarks --  Eight Continents Club^TM & The 8 Continents Marathon Club^TM

Further, we continue to own the trademarks to all of the club names listed below related to 7 Continents as well as their counterparts replacing the 7 with an 8.  Those include:

The Official 7 Continents Marathon Club has been organized by a group of seasoned marathoners and 7 Continent finishers who have a desire to aggregate information about all 7 continent finishers.  To date, there is no comprehensive site or listing of all 7 continent finsihers.  We hope to change that.

Who We Are

Steve Hibbs - Founder - Steve has completed Marathons on the 7 continents three times (2008, 2010 & 2014).   He has also completed Marathons in all 50 States (and DC) three times (2008, 2011 & 2016).  He has also completed half-marathons on all 7 continents (separately from his marathons) three times (2015, 2016 & 2017).  He became, at least based on available data, the youngest person to complete both circuits twice & three times.  Steve is also a licensed attorney, human resources professional and owner of a small travel company.
